We partner with schools, small businesses, healthcare offices, and event organizers to assess risks, improve planning, and put practical, effective security measures in place that protect people and operations.

Our Why
The drive to stand up Active Mitigation Solutions came after the tragedy at Oxford High School, a neighboring community to our own. That day underscored something many of us already knew: security must be proactive, not reactive; built through awareness, preparation, and shared responsibility.
Active Mitigation was created to support that effort. We help schools and other organizations take practical steps to prevent and respond to threats, without fear or confusion leading the process.
Our Approach
We believe security should make people feel safe, not trapped. A facility should never have to look or feel like a prison to be secure.
True protection comes from balance, blending smart planning, community awareness, and good design.
We also recognize that law enforcement plays a critical role in the response phase, but that prevention and daily operations often need a different kind of expertise.
Everyone has a part to play. Active Mitigation connects people, policy, and process so each organization can be ready and confident when it matters most.

Jake brings experience from federal security, emergency management, and physical protection programs to every project. His focus is helping clients understand their risks, meet compliance expectations, and put the right measures in place, not just on paper, but in practice.
